At Senra Systems, we believe that the future of manufacturing lies not in automation, but in configuration.

We supercharge electrical wire harness manufacturing through software configuration, transforming skilled assembly tasks into high-throughput production lines. We enable customers to design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds at record-breaking speed.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to help build and scale the quality systems that support our growing aerospace and defense manufacturing operations. In this role, you will partner closely with production, manufacturing engineering, and leadership teams to ensure our processes deliver consistent, high-reliability products as we ramp production.

This is a hands-on role that blends factory floor problem solving with structured quality systems development. You will investigate issues, implement corrective actions, strengthen process controls, and help build the quality infrastructure required to scale a high-performance manufacturing operation.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working directly with technicians and engineers on the production floor, has strong analytical problem-solving skills, and takes ownership of improving systems rather than simply maintaining them.

What you'll own:

Production Quality & Root Cause Analysis

  • Investigate quality issues arising during production, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Partner with production and manufacturing engineering teams to resolve defects, rework trends, and yield issues.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis.

Process Control & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and improve process controls to ensure consistent, repeatable manufacturing outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production quality, reduce defects, and increase yield.
  • Support implementation of standard work, inspection plans, and process validation activities.

Quality Systems & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain quality documentation including work instructions, inspection procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of the company's Quality Management System.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Inspection & Test Process Development
  • Define inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and quality checkpoints across the production process.
  • Work with technicians and engineering teams to develop inspection strategies that balance quality and throughput.
  • Support first article inspections and qualification builds where required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and production teams to ensure quality is built into processes from the start.
  • Support training and coaching of technicians and operators on quality standards and best practices.
  • Act as a quality advocate on the factory floor.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–6+ years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering, ideally in aerospace, defense, electronics, or similar precision industries.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as control plans, inspection plans, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and identify patterns in manufacturing issues.
  • Experience working closely with production teams in a hands-on factory environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technicians, engineers, and leadership.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with wire harness, electronics assembly, or electromechanical manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO quality systems.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI).
  • Experience developing inspection fixtures, test methods, or automated quality checks.

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
  • Salary Range: $95,000-$140,000
  • This is an onsite role at our facility in Cypress, CA.

Benefits:
