About the Role
As a Fleet Services & Risk Engineer, your job will consist of interfacing directly with HDVI insureds on all aspects of risk management, safety, and DOT compliance. You will work closely with the telematics operations team to ensure the timely installation and maintenance of telematics. You will work closely with fleet owners and operators, analyzing their fleet’s performance and providing recommendations on improvements to safety and DOT compliance. You will also work closely with HDVI underwriting, claims, and software product teams to provide feedback on fleets’ performance, facilitate quick claims reporting, and provide guidance on tools needed to enhance telematics-based safety and compliance analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Interface regularly with HDVI Fleet Services customers, assisting them in implementing best practices for safety and DOT compliance
  • Incorporate the use of telematics data into analysis and discussions with fleets to drive improvements
  • Work with software Product Managers to help design fleet, insured-facing, and internal analytics software
  • Collaborate with various HDVI Fleet Services partner vendors and the Business Development team to promote HDVI’s safety services
  • Stay current with FMCSA, IRP, IFTA, FSMA, and other relevant trucking regulations and new technology in the industry.
  • Conducting safety vetting and loss control calls with prospective fleets, providing a detailed assessment to mitigate risks
  • Periodically visiting fleets and meeting virtually to discuss safety trends, identifying areas for improvement, and facilitating the adoption of best practices
  • the claims department by pulling loss videos and providing support for efficient claims processing
  • Working closely with fleet owners and operators, analyzing their fleet’s performance, and providing recommendations on improvements to safety and DOT compliance
  • Collaborating with HDVI underwriting, claims, and software product teams to provide feedback on fleets’ performance, facilitate quick claims reporting, and offer guidance on tools needed to enhance telematics-based safety and compliance analysis
  • Being detail-oriented and willing to go above the job description to ensure the highest level of service and support for our insureds

What You Have

  • 3+ years of fleet safety or loss control experience
  • Highly proficient in FMCSA, IRP, IFTA, FSMA, and other trucking regulations
  • Experience working with fleet owners, safety and operations managers, and truck drivers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM functionality
  • Must be able to travel
