We're on the lookout for a Security Technology Lead specializing in Physical Security to join our Memphis data center. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of our mission, leading multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

As a Security Technology Lead reporting to the Security Manager, your role will be diverse and impactful. From designing and implementing security systems, to ensuring timely project delivery, your contributions will directly influence the safety and security of xAI employees, customers, and facilities. You'll engage in effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, navigate complex dependencies, and operate with a sense of urgency.

  • Troubleshoot security technologies
  • Implement technology to support security policies and procedures
  • Provide oversight of security camera and access control systems
  • Ensure maintenance and proper function of security cameras, gates, doors, lighting, and other security related hardware
  • Identify ongoing security technology needs and in-house security technology staffing requirements
  • Build drone detection and ground radar capabilities
  • Build and lead a team of security technology experts
  • Establish protocols for security technology implementation, build redundancies, and propose improvements for evolving security risks
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure full integration of network-connected security devices into larger IT footprint and design

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing physical security projects including overseeing the installation of Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, and Access Control systems

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong interest in emerging, cutting edge security technologies
  • Proficiency in access control strategies and policies
  • Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
  • Project Management Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with security systems software and applications
  • Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and Work Breakdown Structures
  • Continuously meeting and exceeding internal and external customer’s expectations
  • Ownership of a site’s security posture and associated projects through initial site planning, initial build-out, move-add-change projects, site maintenance, and decommissioning
  • Computer based proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Extensive team-oriented experience
  • Impeccable character/integrity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)

Additional Requirements:

  • Position is subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
  • Work is often performed in tight quarters and physical dexterity is necessary to preform job functions
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs. unassisted
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights (up to 100 feet) with appropriate safety gear
  • Comfortable working in extreme outdoor environments heat, cold, rain, etc.
  • Comfortable working in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
  • Available to work evenings and weekends, as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility is required
  • Willing to travel as needed (up to 10%)
  • Valid driver’s license

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $110,000 - $150,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at xAI.
