Vontive, a first-of-its-kind embedded mortgage platform, is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineering Co-op/Intern to join their team in the first half of the year (January - June) (minimum of 5 months). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside Freddie Mac and Palantir alumni with nearly four decades of experience in the mortgage and financial services industry. Vontive's no-code, white-label solution is creating an entirely new and digital way to finance investment properties, opening the market for new investors to participate in real estate. As a Full-Stack Software Engineering Co-op/Intern, you will be an essential part of the Vontive team, working on innovative software solutions for the real estate industry.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with other software engineers and cross-functional teams to design and implement new software features and products.
• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Implement software designs that are secure, scalable, and highly available.
• Troubleshoot and debug code to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in code and design reviews with your peers.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that the Vontive platform stays current and continues to remain innovative.
• Clearly and effectively communicate with your team and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are moving forward according to plan.

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build software applications using modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles and software design patterns.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with serverless technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions.

Compensation & Benefits

• Up to $42/hr indexed to experience

• Housing: We offer a housing stipend to offset the cost of living near our downtown office. We will work with you to find a reasonable housing option, to include introducing you to short term furnished housing options and providing feedback on neighborhoods and commutes.
• Transportation: We will cover your flight to/from the Bay Area at the beginning and end of the co-op.
