About the Role:
Vercel is looking for a Developer Experience (DX) Engineer to join our growing Docs team. As a DX Engineer, you will help create high-quality documentation that empowers our users to build, deploy, and scale their applications with ease. You'll work with our engineering, product, and support teams to ensure that our users have the information they need to succeed.
What You Will Do:
Write, edit, and maintain concise and accurate technical documentation, including conceptual deep dives, guides, tutorials, and API references
Develop the docs site by creating reusable components, while enhancing user experience through informative code examples and engaging diagrams
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and partners to ensure content accuracy and relevance
Manage workload and deadlines in collaboration with managers or lead writers
Proactively communicate with stakeholders, anticipating obstacles, and addressing bugs or concerns about features
Embrace new product areas and processes, sharing product knowledge through different channels, and driving the team's work forward
Review and edit content and code to ensure quality and adherence to our style guidelines
Advocate for users, ensuring their needs are considered and addressed in all documentation efforts
Report into our Director of Docs and VP of Developer Experience
About You:
Strong command of the English language
Proficient in MDX, Markdown, and Git workflows for efficient, interactive documentation creation
Experience with frontend tools such as Next.js and Vercel, which enables you to better understand and document our products and services
A willingness to dive into unfamiliar domains, quickly learn new concepts, and write comprehensive content about them
A user-first mindset, with a focus on advocating for developers and addressing their needs through your documentation efforts
At least 2 years industry experience

The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $120,000 -$180,000 (for non US ranges, please consult with the Recruiter). This salary range is an estimate, and actual salary may vary based on the company's compensation practices, location, and candidate experience. The total compensation package may also include benefits and equity-based compensation.
