The Role
We are seeking a successful Product Engineer who is technical, driven, organized, detail oriented, adept at driving actions and resolving conflicts; and communicates with ease at all levels. You will be instrumental in ensuring the manufacturability and transfer of our cutting-edge products. You will lead the design and execution of functional quality testing strategies for concurrent manufacturing lines, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and play a pivotal role in driving quality across all stages of the product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities will include:
- Participate and enable new product introductions with the highest technical quality
- Drive key initiatives which improve future designs, including board validation, stress testing, and user impact correlations.
- Debug & failure analysis with System and Product Design, Component Engineering, Test, Reliability and Supplier Quality
- Manage all program-related communication to executive management including: Highlight key program risk to management and clearly explain path to resolution
- Commit to work under high time/deliverable pressure with solid results
- Lead quality improvement teams to improve field performance
- Participate in Field Failure Analysis efforts and DPPM reduction
- Systemic yield improvements and reporting from lessons learned across the product life cycle and ecosystem
- Able to interpret, analyze and summarize data well to drive decisions
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in electrical design (ideally both digital and analog), electrical test, debug & integration of electronics into systems; electronics in embedded systems experience is preferred.
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
Key Qualifications
- Familiar with design and schematic tools.
- Familiarity with board and system electronic test strategies: In-Circuit Testing, board functional tests, and industry standard test methodologies
- Demonstrated excellence in organization, execution and program management in complex cross functional projects.
- Excellent skills in failure analysis of systems, circuits, and their components
- Drive technical root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve system quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to our manufacturing facility in Mexico on a regular basis
- Precise technical communication including deep level of engineering analysis and details.
- Demonstrated initiative with a high level of energy, and methodical & efficient problem solving skills including engineering DOEs.
- Familiarity in system manufacturing, SMT, and transitioning new products into manufacturing.
- Experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools to derive meaningful results and drive key decisions to solve problems.
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $250,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
