Summary

This role will interact with the Applications, Engineering, Operations and Sales teams to execute product line goals. This position requires strong leadership qualities, good verbal and written communication skills, and good business acumen. The Marketing Manager's role will span the spectrum of product marketing activities from positioning and differentiation, driving sales and channel enablement and working closely with key internal peers (sales teams, product management, technical experts and customers) to create strong technically rich product marketing programs and contents. The ideal candidate must understand the hardware and software market and have the technical depth to develop informed marketing deliverables.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Support event preparation for industry events including webinars and partner events.
  • eMail Campaign management via email automation tool for lead generation and lead nurturing.
  • Help create and organize webinars and videos.
  • Organize all marketing assets such as photos, graphics, articles, datasheets in a central repository.
  • Support VP of Mkt with content creation and design for marketing pieces including PowerPoint presentations and marketing datasheets.
  • Editing and review of marketing content (press releases, website, datasheets, whitepapers).
  • Researching, maintaining and updating a number of key Marketing and Communications schedules and lists, including new lead sources/data, trade shows, awards and media contacts.
  • Generate collateral on data center infrastructure, which includes competitive sales presentations, road shows, customer enablement, and pre-sales support
  • Define, articulate and communicate product messaging with a clear understanding of the target customer/audience
  • Develop product collateral. Collateral will include data sheets, slide decks, web content, white papers, videos, blogs, etc.
  • Deliver technical marketing content and resources that conveys value and ease of adoption for technical personas, such as developers and engineers. Examples include how-to content, getting started guide, and etc.
  • Create training materials to fully leverage technical product marketing programs for and closely collaborate with FAE teams, and marketing.
  • Create ideas for all related marketing activities and drive them to completion.
  • Show your creative flair with infographics, PowerPoint, and visual representation of messages. Create the ‘aha’ moment for your audience.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint)
    Ability to learn new software applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRMs and eMail automation systems preferred or strong ability to learn these programs.
  • Clear, competent editing and writing skills.
  • 7+ years of experience in managing customer relationship and vendor management preferred
  • Ability to balance workload, handle cross-department communication and make informed decisions to grow with the business
  • Need to be self-motivated, should be able to make independent decisions and provide recommendations to engineering and product management
  • Proven experience in developing compelling and differentiated product messaging
  • Strong aptitude for distilling complex technical differentiators into simple, sticky stories
  • Creative and innovative thinking - willingness to take the risk, fail and learn, and iterate fast
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing or Management Preferred.
  • 7+ years of basic marketing experience at a technology company, preferably in the Industrial, Supply Chain/logistics or Manufacturing industry.

Bonus Experience

  • Have been in product marketing role in a hardware technology company

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $250,000, plus bonuses and Pre-IPO equity. It is uncommon for anyone to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and final compensation is based on the facts and circumstances of the case. The compensation range is broad because it reflects many factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training directly relevant to the role, business and company needs, cultural fit, level, and location.
