The role involves leading the pricing, contracts, proposals, and deal desk function across the organization, ensuring that commercial strategies align with customer needs and profitability.
Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Deal Desk Operations
- Lead the pricing, contracts, proposals, and deal desk function across the organization.
- Develop scalable commercial frameworks and governance processes to support growth.
- Partner with Sales leadership to structure deals that balance customer needs, profitability, and long-term strategic value.
- Establish pricing policies and approval processes to ensure consistency across regions and customer segments.
- Improve sales cycle velocity and optimize commercial workflows.
Pricing Strategy & Business Cases
- Develop pricing models for software subscriptions, professional services, pilots, and enterprise engagements.
- Build ROI analyses, business cases, and financial models to support customer decision-making.
- Evaluate deal profitability and recommend commercial structures that maximize revenue and margin.
- Analyze market dynamics and competitive pricing trends.
Proposal Development
- Own the end-to-end proposal process, ensuring compelling and differentiated customer responses.
- Translate operational requirements into commercial proposals aligned with Tilda's AI-enabled delivery model.
- Partner with Product, Clinical Operations, and Customer Success teams to ensure proposal accuracy and feasibility.
- Standardize proposal templates and response processes to improve efficiency.
Contract Negotiations
- Lead negotiations for:
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Work Orders
- Change Orders
- Pilot Agreements
- Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
- Collaborate closely with Legal and Finance to mitigate risk while maintaining deal momentum.
- Support enterprise and strategic customer negotiations with sponsors, CROs, and life sciences organizations.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales, Finance, Product, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the customer buying experience.
- Develop scalable processes and systems to support rapid company growth.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in:
- Pricing
- Proposals
- Contracting
- Commercial Operations
- Business Development Operations
- Deal Desk functions
Preferred
- MBA, JD, MPH, or other advanced degree.
- Experience working with sponsors, CROs, and clinical trial service providers.
- Knowledge of clinical development workflows and operational processes.
- Familiarity with vendor qualification and procurement requirements common in biopharma.
- Experience supporting enterprise software and services organizations.
- Background in AI, healthcare technology, or high-growth SaaS environments.
