Remote DevOps Engineer

What You’ll Do

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure primarily in AWS or GCP
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• Automate provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows
• Build highly available, resilient, and secure environments

CI/CD & Release Engineering

• Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Improve deployment reliability, rollback strategies, and release automation
• Partner with engineering teams to streamline software delivery lifecycle
• Support blue/green and canary deployment strategies

Kubernetes & Containerization

• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters in production
• Build scalable containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Improve orchestration, auto-scaling, service discovery, and cluster monitoring
• Support microservices-based architectures

Reliability, Monitoring & Incident Response

• Build observability solutions across infrastructure and applications
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and tracing systems
• Drive root cause analysis and postmortem improvements
• Improve uptime, resiliency, and performance optimization

Security & Compliance

• Partner with Security teams on IAM, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening
• Implement DevSecOps best practices throughout the SDLC
• Support compliance initiatives and secure deployment practices

Developer Experience

• Improve internal tooling and developer workflows
• Enable self-service infrastructure capabilities where appropriate
• Reduce operational overhead through automation and standardization

Required Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering experience

MUST come from a product-based SaaS or technology company environment

Experience supporting internally built software products/platforms in production

Strong preference for candidates from:

• SaaS companies
• AI/ML startups
• Product engineering organizations
• Cloud-native software platforms
