The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development of programs and policies around performance, employee travel, benefits, etc. for a multi-location workforce of hourly and salaried employees
  • Build and maintain effective HR systems, tools, and processes
  • Own all HR systems
  • Leverage strong analytical capabilities to accurately track, analyze, and report out on key operational HR data
  • Provide local HR and operations support
  • Assist with onboarding of new employees
  • Process employee data changes including new hire, terminations, promotions, supervisor changes, transfers, and other transactions as needed
  • Conduct human resources information system (HRIS) data audits, resolve data issues, and document findings

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience successfully working in fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience in creating and scaling HR programs and processes for distributed, hourly and salary workforce
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
