We are searching for an innovative Commercial Project Manager to lead and execute our commercial and internal strategic initiatives. With a focus on quality, business results, and cost, this role will collaborate cross-functionally to drive change, manage tight deadlines, and deliver technical solutions for product improvements and commercial products. The ideal candidate is well versed in project management, requirements gathering, creative problem solving, and possesses a strong scientific background with a demonstrated ability to influence change. The Commercial Project Manager will mentor, train, and develop others, navigate complex project requirements, and seamlessly interface with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate project initiatives with cross-functional leadership to align priorities, define deliverables, and successfully develop and implement solutions
  • Create and maintain Project management strategy, tools, and documentation for highly-leveraged commercial projects
  • Facilitate resource planning, prioritization, and trade-off discussions and manage Project budgets
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, R&D, operations, and quality leads to estimate the level of effort and projected benefit, define success metrics, identify dependencies and break Project and project scope into actionable workstreams
  • Provide transparency and predictability of initiatives for stakeholders
  • Drive entire Project life cycle, including ideation, analysis, go to market planning, and commercialization, so that end result aligns with product/portfolio objectives and overarching strategy, while ensuring that product/partner requirements are incorporated into Synthego’s product roadmap
  • Communicate details such as Project status and risks to various levels of the organization; persuasion through reasoning and data; and resolution of conflicts over goals, priorities, and approach

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, ideally engineering, biology, or chemistry
  • Proficient in project management methods such as Agile/Scrum and Waterfall, applied and led cross-functional teams utilizing these principles
  • Strong understanding of organizational best practices and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with technical/commercial teams embracing agile development tactics; start-up experience preferred
  • Proven success with using effective Project management tools and strategies that scale across teams that use a variety of tool sets for collaboration and task management
  • Excellent problem-solving and organization skills
  • Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical
  • A strong bias for action leveraging risk management techniques and escalating challenges accordingly
  • Calm, collected, and able to bring order to chaotic situations
