We take a pragmatic approach to agile. Our developers are involved at every stage of the SDLC, from inception to design, coding, build automation, release management, feature flagging and ongoing site reliability engineering. Our system is composed of a retreating monolith surrounded by a growing collection of microservices. Within this system, you and the dev team will be responsible for building and maintaining client-facing components. The current tech stack consists of ReactJS, Java, PostgreSQL, Docker and AWS. We operate out of our downtown Toronto office with a hybrid workplace model. While we respect the need for focus time at home, we believe in the importance of strengthening team cohesion and encouraging a strong bond with other departments. As such, this role will require some in-office presence on a weekly basis.

Your Know-How
- You have prior working experience (roughly 2-3 years) on a full-stack web development team
- You are proficient in ReactJS while comfortable with adopting new technologies
- You have experience delivering reliable, high-performance REST APIs
- You have experience and a good understanding of scrum/agile development methodologies
- You are experienced with code reviews, service ownership, fully automated testing, microservices, and rapid/continuous releases
- You are comfortable with being on-call for support and interacting directly with clients if needed
It’s a Bonus If
- Experience working in AWS console or equivalent
- You have experience working with Spring Boot
- Experience with serverless, queuing, streaming
- You have worked directly in the finance industry and/or at a SaaS startup
