How you’ll make an impact
Spotnana is searching for a Finance Controller - India to join our growing global Finance Team. This key role will report to the Global Controller and partner with stakeholders across the business to help develop, refine and enhance our existing accounting close processes, both local and international. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams across our organization to support our accounting processes and provide accurate and timely financial insights. What you’ll own
- Supervise the month end close process for India and ensure that reporting is generated in a timely manner for corporate consolidation.
- Lead statutory audits and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, including all relevant Indian legislation.
- Maintain compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations, including GST, income tax, and transfer pricing.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including currency, credit, and operational risks.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
- Oversee treasury operations, including banking relationships, investment strategies, and foreign exchange management.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, regulators, and investors.
- Oversee the optimization and maintenance of ERP systems and other financial software or tools.
- Oversee the payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, wages, bonuses, and other employee benefits, ensuring compliance with all payroll-related statutory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Provide backup and support activities for the global finance team as needed.
Experience to bring with you
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred with 12+ years of leadership and team building experience
- Strong understanding of local accounting and tax rules as well as a workable understanding of US GAAP/IFRS
- Experience with implementing and/or optimizing ERP systems, MS Dynamics 365 preferred
- Attention to detail, thoroughness and high level of accountability
- Recent travel industry experience and knowledge is required
- Fluent in English and communicates effectively with internal and external cross functional stakeholders and ability to work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones
- Action oriented with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads
