We seek a talented, self-motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our expanding European engineering team. As a key engineering team member, you will help build, evolve, and scale our core technology platform to drive product innovation and success.

Experience we are looking for:

• 6+ years of software development experience with an excellent understanding of core Java concepts and clean code principles; solid experience in Java server-side technologies (preferably Spring-based) and good testing skills & working knowledge of JUnit, Mockito

• Proven experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and Postgres.

• Solid understanding of common data structures, algorithms, and OO design.

• Docker - building images, debugging, and deploying to Kubernetes / Minikube

• Git: git-flow / PR reviews

Experience nice to have:

• Cloud services - experience with any of the leading cloud providers

• Microservices architecture, gRPC

• Proficiency in database design principles, data modeling, and the ability to translate business requirements into efficient database structures.

• Experience optimizing database queries for better performance and understanding the importance of indexing, normalization, and denormalization.

What you will do:

• Work as a key member of an agile team to design, develop, and test end-to-end projects that meet our clients' requirements.

• Design and implement scalable REST API's and backend processes for a configurable insurance cloud platform

• Provides technical guidance and assumes responsibility for all development activities.

• We aim to raise awareness of industry trends and potential new technologies that can positively impact our customer base.

• Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools, and processes
