ABOUT THE ROLE
Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking a skilled and motivated customer facing Security Customer Ops Engineer to join the Customer Experience team. In this role, you'll spearhead our technical efforts to bring customers onboard to our DevSecOps platform (Game Warden). Second Front Systems is working to accelerate the transition and adoption of emerging technology into the national security ecosystem, including the Department of Defense. We are seeking professionals who want to operate on the front lines of an exciting and disruptive mission.
This role reports directly to the Director of Technical Delivery within the Customer Experience organization. We are a fast-growing entrepreneurial team working at the convergence of technology and national security. If this type of effort interests you, come join us!
This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Architect-level experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based infrastructure
  • Expertise with at least one of the following cloud providers: AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Deep expertise and experience with containerization
  • In-depth experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS
  • Experience deploying and managing applications with Helm
  • Experience with infrastructure as code
  • Proficient in image and container hardening
  • Familiarity with CVE’s
  • Ability to develop, optimize, and debug code
  • Strong coding skills with exposure to one or more of the following: Go, Python, Bash
  • Ability to implement, modify, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to understand technical concepts
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Expertise with DevSecOps principles: security automation, continuous security, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Familiarity with Gitlab
  • Familiarity with Google Workspaces

Skills You’ll Bring to Our Team

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Certified AWS Solutions Architect
  • Experience as a Software Engineer or DevSecOps Engineer
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • DoD 8570 compliance
