Job Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager responsible for a pivotal role in coordinating and facilitating the execution of projects related to autonomous surface vessel development. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Create project plans, timelines, and budgets to guide project execution and monitor progress
- Coordinate project activities, track milestones, and manage day-to-day tasks to ensure project schedules are met
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and leadership to provide project updates and resolve any issues
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and challenges
- Manage resources, including assigning tasks and monitoring team performance to ensure efficient project delivery
- Support the documentation of project requirements, specifications, and progress reports
- Participate in project review meetings, capturing action items and following up on tasks to ensure accountability
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements and implementing best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in a technical or engineering environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear interactions among team members and stakeholders
- Proficiency in project management tools and software for task tracking, scheduling, and reporting
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, particularly within autonomous systems or maritime technology (preferred but not mandatory)
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership of responsibilities
- A collaborative and team-oriented attitude, willing to learn and contribute to the success of the team
