Job Overview
We are seeking a Strategic Partnerships Manager responsible for building and maintaining high-impact relationships with key stakeholders in defense, government writ large, and private industry/academia. You will partner with executive leadership and the Strategy Team to identify, secure, and manage strategic alliances that support the growth of our products, our company, and our impact on maritime security.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute partnership strategies: Identify and prioritize potential partners within the defense sector, including DoD agencies, defense contractors, academia, and technology providers
  • Build and maintain relationships: Establish and nurture strong working relationships with key decision-makers, program managers, and administrative change agents within the DoD, the interagency, academia, and private industry
  • Coordinate with business development: Lead efforts to secure long-term strategic partnerships and teaming agreements that align with company goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with R&D, engineering, and product teams to align partnership efforts with product development and commercialization strategies
  • Monitor defense sector trends: Stay updated on relevant policies, funding processes, and trends within the DoD, the interagency, academia, and the private sector to anticipate opportunities and challenges
  • Negotiate partnership agreements: Lead negotiations on partnership terms, agreements, and contracts, ensuring that all parties' interests are met while safeguarding the company's objectives
  • Participate in industry events: Represent the company at defense industry conferences, expos, and meetings to build awareness and generate leads for partnership opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred
  • Experience in partnership, business development, or strategic relationship role; preferably in the defense, aerospace, or autonomous technology industries
  • Familiarity with autonomous technologies, maritime systems, or defense technologies is preferred
  • Experience working with government stakeholders and the Defense Industrial Base
  • Demonstrated record of success in forming and maintaining high-value partnerships with government or defense sector entities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Skilled in negotiation and navigating complex stakeholder environments
  • Minimum active SECRET security clearance required, with eligibility for TS/SCI
