Job Overview
We are seeking an IT Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure supporting our autonomous surface vessel development projects. A strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment is required.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems, to support the development and operation of autonomous surface vessels
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with DoD standards
- Develop and manage cloud-based solutions for data storage, processing, and analysis
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of IT systems with autonomous vessel technologies
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of IT services
- Provide technical support and training to team members on IT systems and best practices
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our IT capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in IT infrastructure design, implementation, and management
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cybersecurity practices, and cloud computing platforms
- Experience with DoD IT compliance and security requirements is highly desirable
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical team members
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
