Job Overview
We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team. Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the conceptualization and design of cutting-edge electrical systems and solutions tailored to the specific needs of our autonomous surface vessel startup.
  • Guide, mentor and empower a team of electrical engineers, nurturing a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continual enhancement.
  • Collaborate closely with diverse teams to translate strategic goals into tangible electrical engineering objectives and outcomes.
  • Conduct in-depth exploration and evaluation of emerging electrical technologies and industry trends to enrich our product portfolio.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive documentation, encompassing design blueprints, testing protocols, and technical insights.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, industry protocols, and safety measures at every stage of product development.
  • Execute intricate electrical computations, simulations, and assessments to optimize system performance and streamline efficiency.
  • Address intricate electrical engineering hurdles through innovative problem-solving strategies within our fast-paced development environment.
  • Define project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, while effectively managing resources and budgets to ensure project success.
  • Stay abreast of the latest breakthroughs in electrical engineering, actively integrating new knowledge to enhance the capabilities of our products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in defense, technology, or similarly fast-paced environments, overseeing successful electrical engineering projects from inception to market introduction.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, methodologies, and technologies, with a proven history of delivering groundbreaking innovations.
  • Proficiency in utilizing industry-standard electrical design and simulation software tools.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, fostering team motivation and mentorship while cultivating a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Strong aptitude for project management and organizational acumen, consistently achieving project objectives within allocated timeframes and budgets.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities, exhibiting adaptability and ingenuity in navigating diverse challenges.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, adept at conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
