Role Overview
As the Director, HR, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and building the people function at Rocketlane. You will lead the people function across teams in the US, India, and future global locations. Your focus will be on talent acquisition, building scalable people processes, and driving employee engagement. You’ll also develop appraisal frameworks, career progression paths, and other key structures as we scale. Working closely with leadership, you’ll align our people strategy with business goals and help managers become strong, effective leaders.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with Rocketlane’s rapid growth and business goals.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent development.
Implement a scalable performance management system and ensure regular feedback, 1-on-1s, and growth plans are in place.
Lead and own the recruitment strategy, ensuring efficient hiring of top talent across all departments.
Partner with functional leaders to create programs to develop our people across teams
Build and enhance Rocketlane’s employer brand to position it as an attractive workplace in competitive talent markets.
Maintain and evolve company culture, ensuring it stays aligned with core values as Rocketlane scales.
Lead employee engagement initiatives and surveys to monitor and improve team morale and happiness.
Design and refine compensation and benefits programs aligned with Rocketlane’s financial objectives.
Build and scale HR operations, ensuring efficient processes for onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day activities.


Experience & Qualifications
10+ years of experience in the people function, with at least 2+ years in a senior leadership role at a high-growth startup.
Proven track record in scaling people processes and teams during periods of rapid growth.
Experience in managing global teams across multiple regions.
Strong knowledge of best practices in people management, employment laws, and compensation strategies.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to partner with executives and cross-functional teams.
Data-driven with a focus on using metrics to drive decisions and improvements.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for building a people-first culture.
