Realm Alliance is building a physical security platform for corporate security in the natural resources industry. Our product unifies disjointed surveillance systems into a cohesive, collaborative, real-time common operating picture centered around the TAK platform. We are addressing critical pain points around collaboration and data integration in physical security, particularly in high-stakes, austere environments like remote mines.

Role Description

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Realm Alliance, you will be at the forefront of our mission to enhance security at mine sites across Africa. This role is a unique blend of business development, customer support, and product management, designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic and challenging environments. You will be embedded at our clients' sites, working closely with them to uncover their security challenges and leveraging Realm's technology to develop and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Customer support: Travel to both current and prospective customer sites to understand their specific security needs and challenges. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and ensuring their long-term satisfaction with Realm's solutions.

• Problem solving: Utilize technical expertise to diagnose and solve complex security issues using Realm's technology.

• Product implementation: Lead the deployment of Realm's security platform at client sites, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.

• Business development: Identify and develop new product opportunities to land and expand at our current customer’s sites. Work closely with the BD team to grow Realm's client base.

• Feedback loop: Act as a liaison between clients and Realm's product development team, conveying customer feedback and suggesting improvements to enhance our platform.

Requirements

• Prior on-site business experience or deployment in Africa

• Problem-solving skills: Demonstrated ability to solve engineering problems and think strategically. Familiarity with physical security systems is a plus.

• Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Adaptability: Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to different cultural and working environments across the African continent. French and/or Portuguese proficiency is a plus.

• Team player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including business development and product development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in military/intelligence, physical security, mining, or related industries.

• Experience working with international clients and managing projects in diverse environments.
