About the role

Ramp is looking for an experienced leader to act as our Head of Channel Partner Marketing to help take our burgeoning Channel Sales program to the next level. Your responsibilities will include setting and unifying strategy across verticals/partners, operationalizing the channel marketing program and building repeatable tactics, and acting as the connective tissue between the verticals/partners as well as between Marketing and Channel Sales.

You will be a player/coach of a small but mighty team of Channel Partner Marketers and will be expected to lead and manage, as well as roll up your sleeves and work directly on initiatives. You’ll develop campaigns, engaging content, and report out on key metrics as well as nurture and grow this team of marketers.

This will be a highly cross-functional role, closely collaborating with Channel Sales, Growth, Revenue Operations, Partnerships, Product, and Marketing. Our channels comprise of Accounting Firms, Software Partners, Financial Institutions, and other emerging channels that recommend Ramp’s solutions to their clients. Success relies on partners referring their clients and co-marketing abilities, product enablement, marketing resources, and training. The ideal candidate for this role is strategic, business-minded, creative, and has experience in partner and channel marketing.

What you’ll do

  • Be a player/coach. Set overall channel marketing strategy, manage a team of marketers and their work, develop deep cross-functional relationships and working rhythms, and directly contribute to marketing tactics

  • Collaborate closely with Channel Sales and Revenue Operations to build and iterate on the overall strategy for the Channel program, plan tactics, and share results regularly

  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, partnering closely with Performance Marketing and Growth to develop campaigns and experiments and execute in-person and virtual events

  • Partner with Content and Brand Marketing to develop engaging content for and with channel partners. Create content for joint marketing campaigns and initiatives that include webinars, events, social media, training workshops, and more

  • Be the connection between Product Marketing and Channel Sales – relaying and adapting product updates, new collateral, and enablement to channel partner audiences, including developing Partner Enablement content for Ramp Academy

  • Work with Channel Sales and Sales Enablement to ensure partners are equipped with the necessary content, sales materials, and product knowledge to effectively promote, drive referrals, and boost product adoption. Track, analyze, and report channel partner marketing performance to achieve Sales and Marketing objectives

  • Grow, optimize, and operationalize our Channel Marketing program. Develop a strong rhythm and build repeatable strategies that deliver reliable and measurable results

What you need

  • Minimum 7 years of experience leading Channel or Partner marketing in B2B SaaS or fintech

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing and leading a marketing team, influencing key stakeholders and directly managing individual contributors

  • Proven track record of creating and executing successful co-marketing campaigns and developing enablement programs for channel partners and sales teams

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking experience

  • Strong technical and business acumen, with ability to simplify complex concepts for various audiences

  • Comfort with navigating ambiguity and juggling multiple initiatives. Ability to work under pressure. Self motivated and can thrive in demanding environments

  • Combination of confidence and passion, humility to accept feedback, a persistent spark of curiosity, and an indefatigable growth mindset
