About The Role
The Workplace Experience Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the office by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This individual will bring retail and/or hospitality experience to create an exceptional workplace experience for our employees at Platform Science and visitors to the company’s office/s. This role is expected to facilitate key procedures, maintain office supply inventory and food/beverage program support as directed, and demonstrate effective office communications. The Workplace Experience Coordinator is a true partner to the organization by embodying and reinforcing company culture, and contributing to a vibrant professional environment This role reports to the Sr., Manager of Workplace Experience. The primary work location will be daily, onsite in the San Diego, California office.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Planning and coordinating all in-house and off-site activities/events
- Welcome and manage guests (candidates, investors, customers, partners, vendors, etc.)
- Create an exceptional welcoming experience for employees
- Create and publish compelling event communications advertising employee events on Google Calendar, email, slack, confluence and other platforms
- Be the 1st point of contact for employees regarding office maintenance & operational needs
- Manage the office calendar
- Schedule the logistics and catering of meetings, employee events, offsites, and conferences
- Provide general office support with start-to-end management of office supplies & equipment inventory, and shipping & receiving]
- Responsible for kitchen inventory, food and beverage orders, and maintaining clean and healthy kitchen environment
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years concierge and/or event planning for a hospitality or office environment
- Advanced knowledge of Macs, Slack and GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets, Presentation, Email etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient with email, scheduling, and communication tools
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills to support rapidly growing tech company
- Adaptability and comfort executing well in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Team player and collaborator
- Keen ability to anticipate needs of employees at all levels
- Impeccable discretion when handling sensitive information
- Keen attention to detail
- B.A. in Marketing, Communications, or Hospitality, preferred

This is a non-exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated hourly rate for this position is between $22.00 to $33.37 per hour. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire hourly rates across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
