About the Role

The Sr. Experience Designer, ATG is responsible for managing work through the entire creative process, from concept to completion. They create and support envisioning the future concepts and systems of our platform, its products and the organization and ATG. They lead the innovation of Platform Science’s next generation of Product offerings. Support and envision new technologies and experiences that better the lives of truck drivers and fleet managers. They contribute to the culture of design, create systems for new apps/products, help shape how driver’s interact with apps and system level events and support future ideation of our company’s growing business and customer experience.

Essential Responsibilities

• Explore the newest features in HMI and automotive interface patterns and bring new standards to the driver experience via design. Organize and innovate per OE.
• Bring to life experiences to driver’s via our in-cab digital experiences. Shape how truck manufacturers handle Platform Science’s system and apps and how driver’s and fleet’s will get and use these digital experiences right off the factory floor.
• Influence future tablet interface design improvements by promoting HMI design work while understanding all PS apps and OS experiences in both mobile and web to the end user.
• Collaborate with ATG leadership to produce high-fidelity presentations to prospective and existing customers, partners and internal stakeholders. Build the brand and explainer assets for Virtual Vehicle using visual design and motion.
• Create initial libraries of design for our multiple products and apps. Create visual templates and artifacts of brand collateral. Animate user interface artifacts. Bring to life product design stories through 3D and motion graphics.
• UI/UX Product Design with emphasis on HMI & Mobile & Applications & Websites: Android, Camera, Fleet, Trailer, Companion Applications. Create starting and scaling artifacts like persona writeups, user stories, detailed wireframes leveraging design libraries/systems, hi-fidelity UI leveraging/creating design libraries/systems, animation/branding of visual elements in app.
• Execute on web design company needs, and advanced prototyping needs using the Webflow stack. Proficiency in using Webflow to create content types, animate, componentize a plus.
• Collaborate with development and product management teams, our advanced technology group - lead your key projects, ideate together, present user feedback, pitch design concepts, wrangle key stakeholders and present paths forward via design.

Education and Experience

• 3+ years of product design experience in a product matrix organization
• Degree in a design related field(s) preferred
• A portfolio with examples of your work that was used in the wild! Agency experience with UI/UX product design, motion graphics, website, branding. Experience with in-house product design teams matrixed into larger product and engineering teams creating mobile apps and web/system UI and experiences at scale.
• Experience using, creating/curating and maintaining design systems in practice, with emphasis on expert level knowledge of Figma’s handoff features and design system pipeline tools like Storybook.
• Fluent use and expert/ninja knowledge of industry standard design stacks - Figma, AI product design tools, Prototyping tools, Motion software, Adobe CC, 3D tools and advanced knowledge of is a plus.
• Ability to tackle video projects using industry standard tools like After Effects, Blender, Premier Pro, Unreal, Unity etc. to inject life and next level presentations of our UI and branding collateral.
• UX experience in creating artifacts to support UX research and product insights. Proficient skills in UX writing and best practices to bring innovative prototypes together with autonomy.
• Great interpersonal, verbal/written communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Handles feedback well, and is able to riff on project deliverables real time. Natural ability to have fun with modern design projects.

This is an exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $125,000 and $175,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
