Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain features for Parallel’s internal ERP (enterprise resource planning) and industrial automation software. Improve and maintain software that powers Parallel’s custom-built equipment. Collaborate with the founders and the fabrication team to create robust technical software solutions. Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software reliability and quality. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues promptly. Apply frontend experience building complex applications using frameworks such as React and Angular. Build backend services using Node.js, along with JavaScript and web fundamentals. Work with geometric modeling kernels, such as ACIS, Parasolid, and Open CASCADE. Create software and tools for Parallel’s on-demand manufacturing service, encompassing frontend development, backend development, and PLC (programmable logic controller) engineering. Deliver functional software from concept to deployment within one to two.

Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in software development. Experience must include five (5) years each of the following: JavaScript and building backend services using Node.js. Experience must include three (3) years each of the following: managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment on a platform such as AWS or Google Cloud; frontend experience building complex applications using framework React or Angular; maintaining and upgrading software following deployment. Experience may be gained concurrently.
