The Role
We are looking for a software engineer focused on neural network deployment to join our Perception organization. The ideal candidate has experience deploying complex neural networks on hardware in challenging runtime-critical applications and leveraging GPU capabilities to accelerate workloads. Experience developing and deploying algorithms in robotics using camera, lidar and radar data is a plus!

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with algorithm teams to optimize new models for in-vehicle deployment
  • Build and maintain evaluation tooling to monitor performance of offline and online models
  • Work cross-functionally as a member of the Perception: Sensors & Integration team
  • Write clean, performant, testable code
  • Work within the Perception team to leverage data, and with other teams to deliver solutions ready for deployment on the autonomous vehicle
  • Mentor and guide other team members to help achieve overall perception goals
  • Perform on-vehicle testing and data collection as necessary
  • Manage deployment and dependencies of perception software on-vehicle

Qualifications

  • Skilled with modern C++, Python
  • Skilled with PyTorch, TensorFlow, TensorRT, CUDA
  • Experience with runtime performance profiling on x86, ARM and Nvidia GPUs
  • Comfort iterating on complex problems and models: problem definition, data, bring-up, debugging, evaluation and deployment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter, able to work and overcome challenges independently
  • Experience working with camera, lidar and radar data in a robotics application
  • Familiarity with Linux, ROS and AWS
