As the Product Technician, you’ll support our Product Development, Compliance, and Engineering teams by testing, validating, and documenting product performance. You’ll work hands-on with prototypes and production samples to ensure they meet our high standards for quality and safety, and you’ll coordinate with vendors in China to manage samples and materials for testing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, follows structured testing protocols, and produces clear, thorough reports.
This is a part-time, in-person role (about 20 hours per week, Tuesday–Thursday) based in our LA product lab studio.
What you'd do at Our Place
- Perform lab testing and product evaluations for cookware, small home appliances and kitchenware products.
- Document and report results with a high degree of accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate with product teams and vendors in China to manage sample logistics.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper testing environments.
- Provide hands-on technical support during product development and validation.
- Lift and handle products and equipment up to 30 lbs.
Who you are
- High School Diploma or College Degree (or equivalent experience).Prior lab work, product testing, or technical experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to generate clear, detailed reports.
- Ability to follow instructions and protocols precisely.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and work effectively in a lab environment.
- If you have experience working with Asian manufacturers and proficiency in Chinese to collaborate effectively with our teams that would be a nice to have for the role.
