We’re looking for a highly analytical, proactive, and collaborative Manager, Inventory Planning to join our growing Operations team. This person will play a critical role in building and refining Our Place’s demand planning process and driving forecast accuracy/inventory health across our expanding omni-channel business. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of the impact that planning systems can have on profitability and the customer experience.
What you will do at Our Place
- Improve our omni-channel demand planning by validating and enriching item/location-level forecasts using historical sales data, seasonal trends, and NPIs.
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly variance reports, identifying likely sources of variance to refine and improve monthly re-forecasts.
- Monitor and report on significant changes in sales, distinguishing signal from noise and escalating issues that may impact inventory position or our ability to achieve revenue targets.
- Own demand planning dependencies such as pre-season item set-up, in-season assortment changes, and variant data maintenance.
- Contribute to cross-functional operational processes, including receipt reconciliation, new product introduction (NPI) purchase order creation, and third-party logistics (3PL) volume/capacity forecasting.
- Partner with the Director of Inventory Planning and Data Science lead to develop and evolve best-in-class forecasting tools, processes, and team operating rhythms.
Who you are
- 4–7 years of experience in planning, merchandising, supply chain, and/or analytics roles, with growing levels of responsibility and scope.
- Deep knowledge of demand planning methodologies and forecast accuracy metrics.
- Exceptionally analytical and detail-oriented, with a natural curiosity and passion for process improvement.
- Comfortable navigating between tactical execution and more strategic thinking.A clear and confident communicator who thrives in cross-functional environments—you can proactively gather information critical to forecasting efforts from Product Development, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
