Job Summary:
We are looking for an individual to support the build-out of our GTM Strategy function and help guide us in our new stage of growth. The GTM Strategy Senior Analyst is a part of OpenGov’s growing Revenue Operations team which owns strategy and programs across all GTM functions (sales, customer success, support, professional services, solutions engineering, and marketing). This strategic role will work cross-functionally across GTM, Finance, and Product executives to help guide OpenGov’s medium- and long-term growth by developing sound go-to-market strategies and deploying them across the business. You will be deeply involved in the annual planning process by contributing to and directly leading components of the GTM planning process. You will then use the annual planning process and annual targets set during this process to assess and guide changes to the business based on the metrics achieved throughout the year via data model development, ongoing data analysis, and the creation of recurring working groups and meetings for reviewing business performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual planning process in key work streams around compensation design and KPI development; assist in the creation of supporting collateral for annual planning, the collation of materials into a centralized plan that can be published, and the overall project management for the GTM annual planning process
  • Advise on GTM team’s compensation structure and measures and ensure that individual role incentives are well aligned to functional responsibilities and measures used in compensation are readily available in end-user reporting and reinforced in our monthly/ quarterly KPI review
  • Contribute to the buildout of a centralized set of data products with our Data Engineering & Analytics team, a back-office repository for how each of these data products can be leveraged, and a Field leadership facing wiki to allow teams to self serve on this on pre-structured analysis in our BI tool
  • Work with Product Marketing & Commercial Operations to form annual pricing strategies, propose changes and ensure the internal pricing catalog buildout supports all downstream reporting requirements. Monitor impact of changes to drive continuous improvement
  • Establish & continually evolve GTM reporting strategies that can be leveraged across verticals by understanding both the GTM business and OpenGov’s data that can help answer questions and seize opportunities
  • Partner with Operations organizations & Business Intelligence to implement and maintain reporting assets

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or other related fields
  • 4+ years of similar experience in analytical/ strategy roles within a growing go-to-market organization or finance / consulting environment
  • Ability to execute at a strategic level as well as dig into the details and manage projects from conception to completion
  • Self-motivated, creative, results-driven, solution-oriented, driven to succeed
  • Ability to drive change and lead through influence in a matrixed environment
  • Crisp written communication and verbal communication skills; ability to highlight and collaborate on areas for improvement
  • Build strong relationships with all department leaders and stakeholders by improving visibility, making strategic suggestions, and partnering on initiatives to drive results
  • Experience working with management and leadership teams to provide actionable insights
  • Strong ability to conduct exploratory analysis and bring together disparate data sources to drive meaningful analysis
  • Comfort questioning the status quo and using quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive executive buy in
  • Quantitative Skills; Expert in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and experience using multiple data sources, and enriching data to complete analyses. Experience building out reporting assets leveraging common BI Tools. Experience with SQL or more advanced analytical packages a plus
