Our team is currently seeking a Creative Director who will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the creative vision of the company. ONEHOPE Wine is a purpose-driven winery and direct sales business that combines outstanding wines with philanthropy, aiming to make a positive impact in the world. This role combines artistic expertise with a deep understanding of wine production processes to develop innovative and impactful marketing campaigns, brand designs, and product packaging that resonate with consumers and align with ONEHOPE Wine's mission. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, product development, and sales, to create compelling and engaging campaigns that resonate with customers and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Management: Maintain and strengthen the ONEHOPE Wine brand identity by ensuring consistent visual and verbal brand representation across all channels and touchpoints. Develop and enforce brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive brand experience.

Team Management: Work alongside the EVP of Creative & Marketing to provide clear creative direction and guidance to design teams, copywriters, photographers, videographers, and other creative professionals. Inspire and motivate the team to deliver exceptional work that meets strategic objectives and brand standards. You will also perform administrative tasks such as weekly 1:1's, annual reviews, and provide daily team updates to the EVP of Creative and Marketing.

Content Creation: Manage and oversee the creation of high-quality visual and written content that tells the ONEHOPE Wine story effectively. This includes website content, product packaging, advertising materials, social media content, and other marketing collateral. You will be required to produce and manage photoshoots from our in-house studios in Santa Ana, California and Napa, California and travel to events around the country – capturing stories from our community of independent business owners (Cause Entrepreneurs).

Creative Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive creative strategy aligned with ONEHOPE Wine's brand vision, values, and business objectives. Identify opportunities for brand expansion and growth through creative initiatives such as our portfolio of wines and packaging, marketing materials, training tools, and beyond.

Campaign Development: Lead the ideation, concept development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across various platforms, including digital, social media, print, and experiential marketing. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver impactful campaigns that drive customer engagement and loyalty.

Product Packaging: You have extensive knowledge in print packaging to help guide a concept from start to finish. Collaborate with design and operations teams to create compelling labels and packaging. You will attend press checks and work closely with the Senior Production Designer and our print vendors to execute labels, shipping packaging, and special project packaging.

Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market insights, and competitor activities. Continuously research and identify innovative and emerging creative trends, techniques, and technologies that can be leveraged to enhance ONEHOPE Wine's marketing efforts.

Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as marketing, sales, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective execution of creative strategies. Present creative concepts and strategies to key stakeholders, providing persuasive rationale and gaining buy-in for proposed initiatives.

Budget and Resource Management: Help to manage the creative department budget and resources effectively. Optimize resource allocation and vendor relationships to maximize creativity, quality, and efficiency while staying within budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Design, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus)
  • Proven experience as a Creative Director or in a similar creative leadership role
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful creative campaigns across various channels.
  • Expertise in brand development, storytelling, and visual communication
  • Product and Packaging design and production experience is a must.
  • Proficient in creative software tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with digital marketing platforms and tools.

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Passion for wine, sustainability, and social impact
  • Direct sales, wine experience, and management experience are a plus.

  • Compensation ranges from $100,000 - $135,000 depending on experience
