We've built a school in Guatemala, funded 19,000+ days of clinical trials for breast cancer research, planted a forest in Indonesia, provided 3 million+ meals for children in need, found 80,000+ pets a forever home, and delivered 190,000+ vaccines to end tropical diseases - ABOUT THE ROLE:As Creative Director, you'll be the visionary responsible for driving the brand's creative across all our channels from print to digital. Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering our brand identity while creating compelling experiences that resonate with our direct-sales audience. This is a hybrid position that will require 3-4 days a week in the Santa Ana, California office. Must be located in Los Angeles/Orange County with frequent travel to Napa. WHAT YOU'LL DO:Responsible for Creative & Design Leadership:
  • Provide creative direction and guidance to team members, helping them develop concepts, designs, and campaigns that align with brand guidelines and resonate with consumers
  • Hire, train and develop a high performing creative team and resources ensuring the right talent is in place to hit our goals
  • Act as a liaison between the creative team and departments, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and ensuring clear understanding of project requirement
  • Inspire and motivate team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Own Brand & Content:
  • Concept, design, and produce engaging strategic content and creative assets across a range of brand projects and touchpoints, including video, social and influencer campaigns, marketing and promotional, email, print, branding and logo design, packaging, media and PR programs, etc
  • Develop consistent brand messaging that communicates the brand's value proposition to convey our unique, yet complex business and distill into digestible content
  • Ideate and innovate on new product innovation and develop stories around our collections that enable our CEs to story tell through their wine tastings
  • Monitor brand performance and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and measure the success of brand initiatives
  • New Product Launches: Develop training materials and training on new products for our direct sales team
Own Digital & Web:
  • Assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email, social media, paid advertising, and events
  • Help manage marketing calendars, project timelines, and budgets to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and with maximum impact.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Creative, Product, and Operations, to ensure campaigns are aligned with goals and objectives
  • Design and create email campaigns including copy and imagery and AB test as necessary
  • Ensure website is mobile responsiveness and understand best practices
  • Iterate on the designs to improve engagement, click-through rates, and conversions
  • Provide content and imagery for the merchandising of our site
Lead Production & Creative Operations:
  • Develop a rolodex of vendors to lend a hand when needed from copy writers to stylists to video directors and editors
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure the packaging design aligns with the product specifications and is feasible for production
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Creative Operations to review request briefs, align resources, and deliver under tight deadlines across web, print, and digital marketing
  • Provide video support to XF channels by facilitating kickoffs, providing direction to videographers, oversee edits and revisions, and meet production budget and deadlines
  • Provide direction and feedback for copywriting, concept development, art direction, production, and delivery
  • Direct and oversee production of assets for direct-sales events. This includes event design and planning, shopping experience, product launches, management of photography and video production team, presentation design and execution, installs and tear-down, on-site event support
About You:
  • 10+ years of industry experience or related creative process experience combining creative strategy, content, and messaging with creative deliverables as a Design Director
  • 5+ years leading a creative team with direct reports
  • Experience in the wine industry is not required, but must be willing to complete WSET Level 1&2
  • Excited that ONEHOPE is a direct sales company and lead with best practices in the industry
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and inspire both internal and external creative teams
  • Ability to understand data and insight to inform creative decisions and develop campaigns.
  • Advanced design skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, as well as digital tools including After Effects, Figma, and Hubspot. Esko Studio (packaging) a plus.
  • A deep understanding of email/website marketing and designing for conversion
