Thanks for your interest in Oklo! We are searching for a Sales Engineer or an Application Engineer to join our team. We are looking to fill this position immediately. Position DescriptionSales Engineers at Oklo support the business development team in determining the best technical solution to meet potential customer's requirements. This includes preparing presentations, providing written and verbal responses to requests for information, and proposal development. Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting business development efforts by working with potential customers to gather requirements and present solutions
  • Supporting power engineering as needed
  • Addressing technical questions that may arise during the business development process
  • Coordinating efforts between business development and product teams
  • Developing written material for proposals
  • Traveling to potential customer sites to evaluate powerhouse placement options
  • Setting up and staffing exhibit booth at industry conferences and events
  • Up to 25% travel required to support customer meetings, site visits, conferences, and trade shows
CompetenciesWe are looking for a Sales Engineer that is:
  • Passionate about clean energy, the environment, and making advanced fission a reality
  • Experienced in supporting power generation equipment deployments
  • Knowledgeable about electrical interconnections
  • Experienced in customer service and has excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willing and able to learn quickly
  • Eager to work on a dynamic team, receive constructive feedback, and grow with us
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment
  • Not required, but a plus if candidate has prior experience as an application engineer, inside sales role, or as a sales engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or nuclear engineering
  • Experience in supporting power generation equipment deployments
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Proven team player with excellent verbal, written communication/presentation, and interpersonal skills
