Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Deployment Operations Engineer with expertise in Wired and Wireless Campus LAN/WAN deployments. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade network infrastructure.

We are looking for a passionate professional who is willing to learn, apply, and deliver. This role goes beyond technical expertise; it requires the vision to help build and elevate our professional services practice. We seek a seasoned expert – someone with strong hands-on experience who can leverage their learnings and insights to drive the service adoption with skills in network integration, migration, ensuring deployment quality, speed and consistency.

A strong understanding of Zero Trust Network principles is essential, as you'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures that follow this model. Your expertise in Zero Trust will be key to ensuring that security is a foundational element in our service Offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Professional Services Development:
  • Play a pivotal role in building and enhancing the professional services offerings.
  • Develop and implement best practices, processes, and methodologies for delivering high-quality services.
  • Contribute to the growth of the professional services business by leveraging your experience to identify opportunities, improve efficiency, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Network Design & Architecture:
  • Lead the design and architecture of campus-wide wired and wireless LAN/WAN solutions.
  • Conduct network assessments and develop detailed network designs, including high-level and low-level designs.
  • Ensure the network design aligns with industry best practices and security standards.
  • Implementation & Integration:
  • Perform, guide and oversee the deployment and integration of wired and wireless network infrastructure, including routers, core, switches, access points, controllers, and firewalls.
  • Hands on experience with integration with SD-WAN, SASE, SSE.
  • Create High level and Low-Level Designs
  • Provide technical leadership during implementation, ensuring seamless integration with existing network systems
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolution.
  • Integration with NAC solutions such ISE, ClearPass, Azure AD and other cloud-based solutions
  • Integration on-prem cloud DHCP servers
  • Integration and migration of Firewalls.
  • Project Collaboration Management:
  • Manage multiple networking projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and support, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Client Engagement:
  • Engage with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
  • Provide technical consultations and recommendations to optimize network performance and security.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients to ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive datasheets, SOWs, network documentation, including design diagrams, configuration templates, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development to maintain expertise in the field.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, standards, and templates for network design and implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on campus LAN, WAN environments.
  • Advanced certifications in networking (e.g., CCNP, CWNP, Aruba, Juniper). Nice to have CCIE.
  • Proven experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting in large-scale environments. Managed deployment with switching and routing and have dealt with Router, Firewall, SD-WAN design and config
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS) and wireless technologies (e.g., 802.11ax, WLAN controllers).
  • Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SD-WAN, cloud networking, and network security.
  • Knowledge of automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network management.
  • Familiarity with VoIP, QoS, and network virtualization.
  • Proven track record in building and scaling professional services teams.
