Position Summary & Role
Reporting to the Senior Director E&F, Validation, EHS, the Sr. Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the performance and reliability of plant utility systems and equipment of Resilience’s cell therapy facility in East Norriton, PA. The successful candidate will be an established engineering leader with experience in both GxP and non-GxP infrastructure. In this role, the successful candidate will ensure that plant utilities and systems are designed, installed and operating in compliance with the latest regulations while also fulfilling all safety, quality, productivity, operability, and reliability needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Supports and/or acts as engineering work stream lead on site capital projects to ensure on-time and in-budget completion.
- Establish visual tracking and other tools to enhance audit readiness and trend analysis from utility consumption and BAS/EMS data. Collect, record, and report metrics.
- Serve as Engineering SME for Change Control process for utility and facility changes. Mange and own change controls, corrective actions, impact assessments, change control action items, deviations, and periodic reviews.
- Participate as SME on cross-functional project teams during utility equipment design, selection, construction, start-up, commissioning and qualification. Ensure that a consistent Resilience network technical approach for Engineering is used across projects at the site.
- Ensures good engineering and documentation practices are used during job activities.
- Develop and maintain site engineering drawings, records and files in accordance with applicable regulations. Maintain all documentation in a prepared state for both internal and external auditing.
- Conduct troubleshooting activities to support site utilities and systems.
- Lead process improvement activities and teams to meet strategic goals.
- Interact with regulatory agency personnel during audits and inspections.
- Participate in new equipment design specification and adherence to site specifications for all projects.
- Review and approve documentation needed for qualification of equipment, facilities and utilities.
- Provide, verify, measure, and revise facility drawings.
- Recommend compliance resolutions to management.
- Review and approve requirements, specifications, drawings, coding procedures, and guidelines.
- Follow and manage operational EH&S and security systems and policies.
- Other activities and duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building automation, and safety systems
- Prior experience within GMP operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field)
- Minimum 5 years of engineering, building operations or facilities management experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
- Advanced technical certification (F.E, P.E., FMA, PMP)
- Trained in Siemens Insight Apogee and/or Desigo CC
- Knowledge of AutoCAD (2D)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative small company environment, working with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
- Exceptional leadership, customer service, relationship building and communication skills

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
