Job Summary:

MycoWorks is seeking a People Partner to support the company’s strategic organizational growth, and to help build a forward-thinking, trusted, and well-rounded People Operations program that operationalizes our company values as we scale. This role will help implement our broad-based People systems, including strategic organizational planning, learning and development programs, performance and employee relations management, and more. The ideal candidate is a people and outcomes-focused professional who is passionate about enriching and empowering employees to bolster organizational success.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage general day-to-day operations (new hires, benefit enrollment changes and terminations), benefits, and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
  • Responsible for changes and audits of personnel files including accuracy and maintenance; processing terminations; recommending improvements to employee-related policies
  • Help develop and implement HR policies, practices and procedures for managers, teams and individual employees that further the mission, values and strategic vision of the business
  • Continuously refine and facilitate an innovative and welcoming new employee orientation and first-day experience for new team members.
  • Responsible for coordination of all background checks, employment verifications, mandated training, benefits enrollment, new hire requests and entry into ADP system

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of People Operations/HR processes and programs with two to four plus years of experience in People Operations or HR (preferably within the manufacturing industry)
  • Expertise in systems including ADP WorkForceNow, G Suite, Microsoft Suite, and the demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Results-driven and comfortable working through ambiguous scenarios in order to find solutions with the ability to work independently
  • Experience in 15five (or other Performance Management tools) and Culture AMP
  • Understanding of employment law and other government compliance regulations (i.e. Workers Comp, FLSA, FMLA, etc.)
  • Customer-centered and always thinking of ways to improve the employee experience
  • Able to operate effectively and comfortable working in a fast moving and constantly changing company
  • Basic understanding of immigration/visa processes
