About this role:

The Director of Marketing Communications is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the company’s corporate communication strategy in support of our overall brand strategy. This role will involve overseeing all internal and external communications, public relations, and media relations activities to ensure that the company’s brand and message is consistent, compelling, and aligned with our business objectives.

Your responsibilities:

  • Communication Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans that generate buzz and excitement about our products and services. Make MindBridge the “go to” expert in our core markets.
  • Market Leadership: Increase market awareness and visibility through strategic communication initiatives that position the company as a leader in the enterprise finance and accounting software industry. Drive strong awareness among industry thought leaders and influencers.
  • Emotional Engagement: Craft compelling narratives that generate buzz and evoke emotion while creating a deep connection with customers, partners, prospects, analysts, and employees.
  • Brand: Develop and implement strategies to build a strong, cohesive, compelling brand that resonates with our target audience and helps them fall in love with our products.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all external communications including press releases, media relations, and public relations efforts.
  • Collaborate with revenue and product marketing teams to align communication strategies with product and campaign goals.
  • Own communication strategy and engagement management of analyst relations.
  • Lead internal communications initiatives to ensure consistent and effective messaging within the organization.
  • Establish strong relationships with industry analysts to “move the needle” on the company’s position in the market.
  • Serve as the primary external spokesperson for the company, manage media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Develop and grow relationships with key media contacts and industry influencers.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content including speeches, presentations, newsletters, event interviews and other communication materials.
  • Educate the marketing team and other content providers on how to write compelling, rich content.
  • Research and acquire industry leadership recognition and awards for MindBridge and employees.
  • Design and execute social media campaigns that incorporate MindBridge leadership.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to inform and adapt communication strategies.
  • Manage crisis communication and act as a key member of the crisis management team.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and communicate corporate policies, strategies, and objectives.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Raise the brand for key executives in support of their efforts on behalf of the company.

Your qualifications & requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong media relations skills and experience working with key media contacts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency with communication tools and platforms, including social media, content management systems, and analytics tools.
  • Experience in crisis communication and issues management a plus.
