Matic is a tight-knit and collaborative team, singularly focused on building products our customers will cherish. We’re ultra-hardworking people committed to solving tough problems thoroughly and quickly.

At Matic we are eager to take risks and test convention. We love diving headfirst into hard problems — even if it means some failures along the way. We work smart, hard, and long (and in that order), chasing innovation and human impact. We highly value individual ownership and take meticulous pride in the work we do, knowing our efforts affect both one another and our customers.

Individuals who value curiosity and learning and who don’t shy away from hard problems thrive at Matic. If you, like us, are genuinely committed to innovation and improving the lives of others, we’d love to hear from you.

All roles are fully onsite in our Mountain View office.

We're looking to hire our first Technical Program Manager as we approach first launch of our flagship product, Matic. This hire will be integral in driving key programs forward for a consumer robotics product involving tight hardware/software integration.

What you’ll do

  • Drive cross-functional (product, design, HW, and SW) efforts to define product launch roadmap and long-term timeline

  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans to ensure on-time delivery, day-to-day coordination, and quality assurance for a novel consumer product

  • Identify potential dependencies and implement mitigation strategies, adjusting product timelines as needed

  • Champion company-wide visibility into planning, development status, risks, etc.

  • Build and maintain effective communication channels across all cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, product, operations, etc.)

  • Design robust internal and external-facing testing modules to drive product testing at every stage of development

  • Consolidate, analyze, and socialize feedback to drive product/process improvements

  • Implement metrics to track development and measure impact for process improvement at scale

  • Own full product BOM accuracy & communication of changes between design, supply chain, and material planning

What we look for

  • 5+ years of experience in TPM role or equivalent

  • Proven track record of shipping hardware product(s) in an industry environment (preferably consumer electronics)

  • Experience in delivering tech programs/products from inception to delivery

  • Experience in driving large-scale cross-functional efforts, while simultaneously managing multiple priorities

  • Ability to drive decisions and alignment across cross-functional teams with opposing priorities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; with an ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams

  • Ability to clearly articulate technical requirements and roadblocks faced by product teams

  • Experience in creating test reports, data analyses, and product briefs for company leadership

  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and swiftly navigate ambiguous situations

We'd love to hear from you if...

  • You are genuinely motivated to help those around you

  • You are passionate about learning outside of your normal comfort zones

  • You love diagnosing complex technical issues

  • You are excited to do great work

If you got to this point, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity at Matic! Even if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We're eager to meet people who are keen to learn and are passionate about what Matic is building. We want to hear how you can contribute to our team in a variety of ways – not just the above boxes.
