About the Role
Mainshares is seeking to hire an Associate, Deal Origination to build on our momentum backing the next generation of American owner-operators. As an Associate, you will focus your efforts on originating deal transactions for our team to work on - targeting business owners and brokers, among other channels. You’ll educate them on the process and value of working with Mainshares, ultimately originating deal flow for our team.
This role involves a high level of prospecting through calling, emailing, and direct outreach. We’re looking for someone who is motivated, likes to win, and is hungry to make an impact on our country.
As an early member of the sales team, your feedback will be critical to our company’s positioning and go-to-market motion. Internally, you will collaborate with Mainshares engineering, product, operations, and legal to ensure a smooth user experience. We're eager for ideas!
Responsibilities
Build pipeline through prospecting, cold calling, and direct outreach, working strategically with Transaction Advisors and go-to-market leads.
Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up, generating increased interest and excitement in Mainshares.
Become an expert on Mainshares’ varying products and services.
Provide timely and accurate front-line support for all prospective customers interested in Mainshares.
Engage with prospective customers real-time via phone or zoom.
Maintain CRM cleanliness and data accuracy to optimize your process down to the smallest details.
Requirements
Experience creating and executing outbound sequencing, including cold calls and emails.
High EQ – capable of grabbing a beer with an auto shop owner or explaining our investing platform to a sophisticated investor.
Enough familiarity with finance or accounting to hold meaningful conversations with potential customers.
Curiosity to learn the world of SMB acquisitions and have a track record of a self-starter.
Experience working in a high-volume customer-facing role, with the ability to manage your time and maintain a high attention to detail.
Highly organized and process-minded, can follow and create detailed and trackable CRM (HubSpot) workflows
Nice-to-Have
Track record of success in a lead generation role is a plus.
Familiarity with the small business segment.
Degree in Finance or Accounting.
