Main Street Securities is the affiliated broker-dealer of Mainshares, the capital platform for SMBs. Main Street Securities offers capital raising services to SMB operators, self-funded searchers and independent sponsors.

About the Role

We are looking for our first associate hire to join our firm. This role will report directly to the CEO and entails significant responsibility across all aspects of a transaction, from origination to closing. You can expect to get immediate and direct exposure to clients, investors and lenders and be responsible for day-to-day execution of transactions. Our firm is fast-paced, entrepreneurial and requires the ability work under tight deadlines with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Executing equity capital raises on behalf of independent sponsors, self-funded searchers, key employees and SMB entrepreneurs

• Advising clients on pre-raise activities, to include deal structuring, negotiations with business owners, securing debt.

• Facilitating client onboarding and managing due diligence on transactions

• Managing the creation of and refinement of financial models and related analysis

• Drafting marketing materials in connection with capital raises

• Roadmapping and driving investor outreach

• Coordinating with legal, accounting and tax advisors

• Building relationships with issuers and investors, along with senior team members

• Contribute to roadmap of Mainshares platform

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience across private equity, private credit, principal investing and/or investment banking

• Strong financial modeling, finance and accounting skills, with an understanding of equity capital markets

• Proven track record of success in working as a part of a team to originate and close complex financial transactions.

• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, entrepreneurial

• FINRA Series 7, 63 & 79 or be able to obtain SIE, 7, 63, 79 within 60 days of hire

Nice-to-Have

• B.S. in Finance, Economics or Mathematics

• Familiarity with Entrepreneurship through Acquisition, search funds, roll-ups, hold-cos
