Luxury Outdoor Living Design & Sales Specialist (Deck Construction)

As part of our entrepreneurship through acquisition process, we are currently hiring for one of our clients, a prominent and respected deck and outdoor construction company in the Southern California area.

This is a full-time position with a base salary plus commission, offering a realistic earning potential of $100K+ annually. You will be joining a highly-rated, expert team focused on transforming outdoor living environments in the San Diego and Orange County regions.

The Role

As a Luxury Outdoor Living Design & Sales Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for homeowners ready to invest in high-end deck and balcony projects. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the creative process, designing customized outdoor concepts, and managing the sales process from initial consultation to final contract. This role requires a balance of creative vision, technical knowledge of construction, and consultative sales expertise.

What You'll Do

• Meet with prospective clients (often via video call or in-person) to understand their vision, lifestyle, needs, and budget for their outdoor space.

• Design and propose complete outdoor concepts specializing in custom decks, railings, and waterproofing solutions.

• Collaborate with the expert in-house team to align design concepts with material selection, construction feasibility, and precise craftsmanship.

• Present clear, professional, and detailed proposals and estimates to clients with confidence.

• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

• Manage your sales pipeline and effectively follow up on leads to achieve and exceed sales goals.

• Assist clients with understanding technical requirements, such as SB326 compliance for balconies.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 2+ years of sales experience in custom home construction, luxury services, or outdoor living design (decking, patios, landscaping).

• Design Passion: A genuine passion for creating high-quality, durable, and stylish outdoor living spaces.

• Interpersonal Skills: Strong consultative and listening skills to effectively guide clients through the decision-making process.

• Self-Driven: Well-organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple high-value client relationships simultaneously.

• Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the San Diego and Orange County service areas is a strong plus.
