Mainshares Capital is seeking a Partner & Chief Executive Officer to lead and expand a well-established e-commerce business specializing in outdoor lawn and garden equipment parts. Based in the Philadelphia, PA metro area, this company boasts nearly two decades of success, selling exclusively online via Amazon, eBay, and its proprietary website. About the Opportunity
This e-commerce business has been a leader in the online sale of lawn and garden equipment parts for 19 years, building a strong reputation and loyal customer base through its sales channels on Amazon, eBay, and its proprietary website. It represents a significant e-commerce division of a larger entity, ready for a dedicated leader to unlock its next phase of growth. The business comes with a strong foundation and a team of six dedicated full-time employees.
Location
The business is based in the Philadelphia metro area and preference is for the candidate to be local. However, we're open to remote candidates with a strong track record of successful remote leadership and business management.
Who We Are Looking For
We are searching for a highly driven, detail-oriented, and experienced e-commerce expert who possesses the entrepreneurial spirit to lead and significantly grow this online retail business. This role requires a hands-on approach to strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership.
Essential Qualifications
E-commerce Leadership: 10+ years professional experience including 3+ years in e-commerce, with a proven track record of managing and scaling online retail operations, particularly within consumer products or parts distribution.
Marketplace Expertise: Deep understanding and hands-on experience with major online marketplaces like Amazon and eBay, including listing optimization, advertising strategies, and fulfillment logistics.
Digital Marketing Acumen: Demonstrated success in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and other strategies to drive online traffic and conversions to both marketplace and proprietary websites.
Supply Chain & Operations: Proven experience in managing online retail supply chains, including inventory management, warehousing, order fulfillment, and logistics for a high-volume product catalog.
Scaling & Growth Strategy: A clear vision and practical experience in scaling retail distribution and online sales, identifying new growth opportunities, and overcoming market saturation challenges.
Financial & Business Management: Significant experience in e-commerce business management, including budgeting, financial analysis, P&L responsibility, and strategic planning to maximize profitability.
Team Leadership: Experience leading and motivating a small team, fostering a productive work environment, and ensuring operational excellence.
