In this newly created role, you’ll play a key part in supporting both our People Operations and Finance functions. Reporting directly to the Payroll Supervisor, you'll be hands-on with payroll processing, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and general accounting support. Responsibilities:

  • Review timesheets for accuracy and compliance with state labor laws (i.e., California)
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, download and review reports, and compile payroll entries for GL
  • Assist People Operations with new hires, terminations, and promotions
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and reconcile benefits invoices with payroll deductions (medical, dental, vision, and 401k)
  • Manage & maintain time off policies in ADP
  • Maintain state payroll tax accounts and create new accounts as needed
  • Maintain supporting payroll documentation
  • Process accounts payable (invoices and expense reports)
  • Reconcile the corporate credit card transactions
  • Assist accounting team with Netsuite bank transaction matching
  • Implement processes improvements to streamline functions
  • Assist with special projects

Job Requirements:

  • The Specialist will have 3+ years of payroll and human resources experience. Multi-location experience is strongly preferred.
  • The Specialist will have 3+ years of general accounting and/or accounts payable experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of ADP, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
