Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist and Department Lead
We are looking for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to lead our department, providing excellent psychiatric care to children 0-14 and their caregivers, as well as daily administrative duties that include clinical consultation and departmental management. The successful candidate must have the ability to collaborate with both clinical providers and interdisciplinary teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, and consistently ensure an excellent experience for our families.
Location: Anywhere in the United States; fully remote position
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Medical Officer (CMO)
Schedule: flexible 2-3 hours of daily administrative duties plus your choice of 5+ additional clinical hours that you can add at your convenience
Salary: $5000/month for daily administrative duties with potential to expand. Additional compensation for clinical care compensated at $312.50 per 75-min intake and $125 per 30-min follow-up visit.
Responsibilites
- Provide excellent psychiatric care to children 0-14 and their adult caregivers as needed.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management to children and families.
- Engage with collateral informants/providers including educators, other professionals, including physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and other family members.
- Communicate with families using the messaging feature of the Little Otter platform.
- Work as a member of a Little Otter collaborative care team to conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide personalized care to patients.
- Complete clinical documentation for each patient, including intake notes, progress notes, and treatment plans, using the Little Otter platform.
- Participate in regular Little Otter collaborative care meetings, give feedback, and contribute to the development of Little Otter.
- Providing clinical consultation with therapists and behavioral analysts and responding to their questions about psychiatric care.
- Providing support to a team of contractor psychiatrist clinicians.
- Representing the Psychiatric department in company initiatives, including working with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
- Monitoring the state of the Psychiatric department and reporting to the COO with updates weekly.
Daily administrative duties including but not limited to:
Key Requirements
- 4+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and psychiatrists.
- 3+ years of experience providing psychiatric services to children, including diagnosis, treatment plan development, and medication management.
- Multiple state licenses preferred.
- Board Certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and General Psychiatry.
- Active DEA license.
- Willingness to obtain licenses in additional states as needed.
- Expertise in managing clinical crises, navigating ethical issues, and providing an excellent patient experience.
- Knowledge of techniques such as motivational interviewing, SMART goal setting, and assessing client readiness to change.
- Excellent presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Comfortable with technology and interested in incorporating technology solutions into clinical care.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
