Overview
Joby Aviation is searching for a motivated candidate for the Tooling Expediter role. The successful candidate will support the Tooling teams. As a Tooling Expediter, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, tooling, design, manufacturing, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit extreme ownership for monitoring and communicating the location and status of all tools in-fabrication throughout production facilities
- Order, track, organize and kit tooling BOMs
- Author tooling work instructions, and ensure that tool travelers are completed
- Create tooling NCR’s and work with the tooling team, and quality, to disposition them
- Proactively work with Production Planners to identify tool shortages
- Own the logistic of shipping tools and hardware to suppliers
- Design production carts, workbench, storage shelves, and other tooling solutions
- Responsible for running several small 3D printers
- Author new training guides and update outdated content on Confluence
- Author and update standard operating procedures
Required
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to perform well in high volume/fast paced environment
- High level of organizational skills required
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
Desired
- 2+ years of experience as a Production Coordinator or Expeditor or in an administrative support staff position (ideally in an engineering department) or similar role
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $22-$30/hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
