Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the CMO, this role will oversee Brand, creative, thought leadership, PR, content, global events, and communications. This is a transformative role for an experienced communications and corporate marketing strategist who thrives on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Define and fortify the Illumio brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all marketing and communication channels.
Spearhead efforts to establish Illumio as a recognized leader in the industry through the creation and implementation of innovative content strategies.
Elevate our thought leadership efforts to further establish our position in the cyber industry and increase brand awareness to build top of funnel pipeline
Manage relationships with media outlets, to secure positive coverage and amplify Illumio's presence in the market.
Partner with analyst relations team as well as product and solution marketing teams to ensure positive positioning in market reports, cultivate favorable perceptions, and foster strong relationships.
Develop, test and scale compelling campaigns and creative themes that resonate with target audiences and create a measurable impact; effectively partnering with demand marketing team is essential.
Establish a focused program that serves as the central hub for how Illumio leverages customers across the marketing and communications function. This will include developing and delivering a value proposition for Illumio executives and sales teams to communicate to customers, encouraging their participation in media articles, blogs, podcasts, speaking opportunities, analyst reports, executive briefings, etc.
Develop and execute an effective content marketing plan encompassing content standard, repeatable processes, content re-use plans, metrics, and editorial calendars across the global marketing team. Content will be utilized across corporate, product, solutions, and mapped to buyer's journey.
Work with existing team on creating a 3-year global events strategy in partnership with local/regional marketing teams – optimize current programs and identify new opportunities to support the business.
Provide counsel and guidance for reputation-impacting global events. Ensure proper communication with executive team and sales leadership on awareness and pipeline impact of events.
Develop and execute against an influencer marketing strategy, including PR, Social, AR (in partnership with other marketing groups)
Define, build, and manage a budget to achieve objectives – including identification of resources, media dollars etc to accomplish goals.
Build and lead a high-performing corporate marketing and communications team, offering mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
Experience:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in corporate marketing and communications, within the technology industry and preferably within the cybersecurity or network security space.
Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful corporate marketing and communication strategies that drive brand awareness, support business growth, and build a robust corporate reputation.
Exceptional storytelling abilities, transforming past, present, and future facts into an inspirational narrative with the aim of achieving strategic outcomes.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of professionals across both professional and executive levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
Strong communication coaching skills.
Proven experience leveraging new marketing and communication channels and techniques to drive meaningful results.
Demonstrated experience in building and managing relationships with media outlets, industry analysts, and other key influencers.
Proven crisis management skills, maintaining composure during potentially intense situations, with a deep understanding of and a track record of managing communications around sensitive issues.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Pay Range:
$ 258,300.00 USD - $310,000.00 USD
The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, or applicable laws.
