Senior Robotics Engineer

Automation is at the heart of iCOMAT's technology, and as a Senior Robotics Engineer you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced robotics solutions for industrial applications. Leveraging your expertise in robotics engineering and industrial experience, you will lead projects from concept to completion, driving innovation and delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

What will you be doing? 🤔

  • Lead the design and development of robotic systems for industrial applications, including conceptualization, prototyping, and testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers, to integrate robotic systems into larger automation solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate the viability of robotics solutions for specific industrial processes and applications.
  • Utilize your expertise in robotics programming, including proficiency in ROS (Robot Operating System) and other relevant software frameworks, to develop control algorithms and software for robotic systems.
  • Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the functionality, reliability, and safety of robotic systems in real-world environments.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in robotics technology, including sensors, actuators, and control systems, and incorporate new developments into project designs and solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and standards within the robotics engineering team.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver tailored robotics solutions that address their needs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in the design and implementation of robotics systems.
  • Support project management activities, including project planning, budgeting, and reporting, to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

What do we need from you? 💪

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in robotics engineering, with a focus on the design and development of robotic systems for industrial applications.
  • Proficiency in robotics programming languages and software frameworks, such as RobotStudio, C++, Python, ROS, and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Extensive experience in using ABB, Kuka and other robotic systems
  • Strong understanding of robotics principles, including kinematics, dynamics, and control theory, and their application to industrial automation.
  • Experience with industrial automation technologies, such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and deliver innovative solutions on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach to overcoming technical challenges in robotics engineering.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a passion for staying at the forefront of robotics technology.
  • Familiarity with electrical standards and regulations, including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and experience designing electrical systems for robotics applications is desirable but not essential
