Summary

Responsibilities

About the Role

Keep imaging and surgical workflows running smoothly, and become the Radiant expert your customer relies on.

As a Radiant/OpTime Epic Analyst at Hummingbird, you'll keep Radiant workflows running reliably for the customers we support. You'll spend most of your day working tickets, diagnosing and resolving issues, and building and testing changes in Epic Radiant, with support for OpTime and Cardiology interface workqueues as needed. Because this is a managed services role, you'll also build strong relationships with your customer and become their trusted Radiant subject matter expert. Every ticket is a chance to make a clinical or operational workflow work better, and you'll do it with a team that supports your growth and success.

What You'll Do

  • Own the day-to-day functionality of the Radiant department, resolving tickets and keeping workflows running as intended.

  • Diagnose reported issues by analyzing workflows and data to identify root causes and contributing factors.

  • Build, test, and validate changes in Epic Radiant so they meet expectations and avoid regressions.

  • Support OpTime and Cardiology interface workqueues for customers as needed.

  • Complete upgrade notes and upgrade build, testing changes ahead of go-live.

  • Document requirements, build decisions, and test results clearly to support clean handoffs and auditability.

  • Deliver assigned work in line with SLAs, quality standards, and performance expectations.

  • Proactively identify issues and escalate when risk, complexity, or impact exceeds defined thresholds.

  • Partner with customer and internal stakeholders to align on priorities, constraints, and upcoming changes.

  • Build trusted relationships to become the go-to Radiant subject matter expert for the customers you support.

The Details

  • Employment Eligibility: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

  • Work Location: Remote. You must work from a location within the United States with consistent Internet service

  • Work Type: Full-time

  • Schedule: Weekdays during standard business hours; occasional on-call support may be required

  • Compensation: Expected range is $79,000 to $103,000. New hires usually start between $79,000 and $95,000, depending on experience and internal equity.

  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; paid time off; 401(k); parental leave; career development support; and more

  • Travel: 2-3 times/year for company events or client visits

  • Training: Paid, structured onboarding and ongoing mentorship

Required & Desired Skills

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years delivering scoped analyst work focused on problem solving, requirements gathering, testing, and solution implementation.

  • Active Epic Radiant and Epic OpTime certifications, required at time of hire.

  • Hands-on Radiant experience, paired with operational and clinical workflow knowledge, ideally gained in a health system or consulting setting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate root causes and recommend sound solutions.

  • Ability to work autonomously and stay self-sufficient in Radiant, owning your work reliably from start to finish.

  • Clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences, with proactive escalation when issues arise.

  • Strong attention to detail and time management, with a track record of meeting SLAs.

  • Rapport-building skills and comfort adapting to change in a fast-paced, start-up environment.

Nice to Have

  • Additional Epic certifications beyond Radiant and OpTime.

  • Experience managing multiple workstreams or tasks in parallel across systems, stakeholders, and delivery workflows.

  • Experience working on a distributed or remote team.

What Helps You Shine

  • Please note that we use both your resume and your written and oral communication throughout the hiring process to understand your fit for this role.

  • Thoughtful, clear responses help us see your attention to detail, your professionalism, and your ability to communicate with care, all skills that are essential for success on our team.

A Note on Authentic Interviews

We believe the best hiring conversations are real ones. Notes are welcome, and jotting things down during the call is completely fine. What we ask is that you don't use AI tools or similar assistance to generate your responses in real time. We're genuinely trying to get to know you: how you think, how you communicate, and what you've experienced. That connection matters to us, and it's hard to find when answers are scripted rather than interactive.

We're a team that makes healthcare more human. We'd love to meet the person behind your application.

Expectations for Focus & Presence

  • To support patients and each other, this role requires your full attention during scheduled work hours. Our Outside Employment Policy doesn't allow overlapping work or job stacking, so any outside work must happen fully outside your Hummingbird schedule.

  • We're a camera-ready team, and you'll need to be on camera during training and when needed during the workday after training ends.

  • We value connection, teamwork, and being present, which is what keeps our patients safe and our team supported. If that's what you're looking for, you'll feel at home here. If you're hoping to hold another job during the same hours, this job won't be the best match.

Growth at Hummingbird

This role is a key step in our Epic Analyst career path. You'll receive structured training, coaching, and feedback to build confidence and take on more complex work over time, whether that means deepening your Radiant expertise, expanding into new Epic modules and workflows, or growing into advanced or leadership roles. At Hummingbird, we believe good jobs should lead somewhere, and that starts here.

Please Note: The seniority level of this position may be adjusted during the recruitment process based on candidate skills and experience.
