Summary

As a Sr. Template & Capacity Analyst at Hummingbird, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how patients access care across multiple clinical service lines. You’ll manage provider templates end-to-end while partnering with clinical and operational leaders to improve throughput, access, and overall performance.

Your day will blend deep, focused system work with high-impact collaboration. You might spend part of your morning analyzing Epic data and identifying gaps in provider schedules, then shift into conversations with stakeholders to align on solutions and drive improvements. You’ll use Epic and reporting tools to connect what’s happening in the system with what teams are experiencing on the ground—and turn that into clear, actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and optimize provider templates across 5–10 clinical service lines to improve access and throughput

  • Analyze workflows, data, and system behavior to identify root causes of scheduling and capacity challenges

  • Translate ambiguous problems into clear diagnoses and actionable recommendations

  • Build, maintain, and refine templates at scale, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency

  • Lead requirements gathering and documentation for system changes, ensuring clarity and traceability

  • Execute and validate system updates, including testing, implementation, and post-launch monitoring

  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to align on strategy, performance goals, and improvements

  • Facilitate discussions and present tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders—including leadership

  • Monitor template performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement

  • Mentor peers and contribute to stronger team practices, documentation, and delivery methods

The Details

  • Employment Eligibility: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

  • Work Location: Remote. You must work from a location within the United States with consistent Internet service

  • Work Type: Full-time.

  • Schedule: Must be comfortable working in alignment with client business hours in PST.

  • Compensation: Expected range is $62,500 - $81,250. New hires typically start between $62,500 - $75,000. depending on experience and internal equity.

Required & Desired Skills

What You’ll Bring

  • 4–5+ years of experience delivering independently in an analyst role, including work on complex or ambiguous system changes

  • Hands-on experience with Epic templating tools and a strong understanding of clinic throughput and scheduling dynamics

  • Proven ability to build, maintain, and optimize templates at scale with strong attention to detail

  • Strong critical thinking skills—you can connect data, system behavior, and stakeholder input into a clear picture of what’s happening

  • Experience leading analysis, documentation, testing, and execution of system changes with minimal oversight

  • Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and confidently communicate recommendations, including to leadership

  • Experience mentoring peers or contributing to team development

  • Strong documentation practices with the ability to maintain audit-ready records

  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with changing priorities

Nice to Have

  • Experience leading small projects or workstreams across multiple stakeholders

  • Background in call center, operations, or administrative healthcare environments supporting provider scheduling

  • Experience improving workflows, tools, or processes in ambiguous or evolving settings

  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies

  • Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment

Expectations for Focus & Presence

  • To support patients and each other, this role requires your full attention during scheduled work hours. Our Outside Employment Policy doesn’t allow overlapping work or “job stacking,” so any outside work must happen fully outside your Hummingbird schedule.
