Hi. We’re Hummingbird.

We’re elevating patient access so patients can get healthcare how, when, and where they need it. We partner with healthcare systems to transform how patients access care, enabling their providers to focus on what matters most – caring for patients. By managing patient access as a technology-enabled service, we help health systems stabilize costs and improve patient experience while creating good jobs that attract and retain talent in the industry. Our team of experts is obsessed with the connection between the people, processes, and technology that make healthcare organizations hum. Join us and help build the healthcare experience we want for our communities, our families, and ourselves.

Summary

Build the reporting layer that helps healthcare teams make smarter, faster decisions.

This is a senior, highly collaborative analytics role for someone who knows Epic Patient Access data deeply and loves turning reporting needs into scalable, useful solutions. You’ll partner closely with business stakeholders and internal technical teams to create reporting that is accurate, actionable, and built to last.

As a Senior Epic Business Intelligence Developer Consultant at Hummingbird, you’ll lead the development of Epic-based analytics and reporting solutions that help our clients better understand and improve access to care. You’ll spend much of your day translating business goals into technical solutions, validating data with client Epic instances, building views and common data models, and developing reports and dashboards in Power BI and Epic tools. You’ll work across teams to connect the dots between source tables, reporting requirements, and real-world healthcare operations, especially in outpatient and appointment-focused workflows.

This role is weighted more heavily toward Power BI reporting than Epic specific reporting. You’ll help shape the middle layer between raw Epic data and polished dashboard experiences in our data marts, making sure what gets built is not only technically sound, but aligned to what the business actually needs. You’ll also bring an advisory mindset by helping us innovate responsibly, push what is possible, and build solutions that can scale as we support more healthcare organizations over time.
