Summary
As a Senior Performance Monitoring Analyst at Hummingbird, you will lead internal and client-facing performance optimization initiatives by delivering actionable insights that drive measurable improvements. This role serves as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, providing expert analysis and thought leadership to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and growth. You will play a critical role in advancing Hummingbird’s culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.Responsibilities
Compensation: Starting at $109,000/year, based on experience.
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Travel: 25% or less for client visits, training, and company events.
Working Hours: Based on client needs (full-time, Monday-Friday)
Work Location: This position is remote. You must work from a location within the United States with consistent internet service.
Strategic Data Collection & Advanced Analysis
Lead the collection and integration of performance data from complex systems, including Epic, telephony platforms, workforce management tools, quality metrics, and employee KPIs.
Conduct sophisticated analyses to identify trends, address systemic inefficiencies, and uncover high-impact opportunities for improvement.
Deliver data-informed strategies that influence decision-making at leadership levels and drive operational excellence and equity.
Ensure rigorous data accuracy and integrity, positioning performance data as a foundation for enterprise-wide improvements.
Performance Monitoring Leadership
Design and implement robust performance monitoring frameworks to measure progress toward organizational goals and values.
Collaborate closely with consulting and operate teams to establish baseline metrics, validate data, and track sustainable performance improvements.
Lead internal performance monitoring efforts for our Patient Access as a Service operate team, providing insights that optimize workflows and outcomes.
Lead client-facing performance monitoring for our consulting services, providing insights that outcomes.
Define benchmarks that drive improved client outcomes, and long-term operational sustainability.
Advanced Report Design & Development
Oversee the design and delivery of internal and client-facing performance reports to communicate complex findings to a variety of stakeholders, with an emphasis on clarity, actionability, and strategic alignment.
Partner with the Access Analytics Architect and data & analytics team to ensure development of advanced visualization tools (e.g., Power BI,) meets performance monitoring needs.
Partner with cross-functional teams to refine reporting methodologies and develop scalable solutions that support transparency and continuous improvement.
Outcome Reporting & Strategic Communication
Develop and deliver executive-level outcome reports that highlight successes, identify challenges, and provide clear pathways for continued improvement.
Align reporting outputs with enterprise initiatives to enhance employee engagement, client satisfaction, and organizational growth.
Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, ensuring performance insights align with long-term business goals, equity principles, and measurable results.
Continuously improve performance monitoring frameworks to reflect evolving business priorities and industry best practices.
Required & Desired Skills
Required Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience within healthcare patient access space
Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to connect data-driven insights to broader strategic goals.
Proficiency with Epic reporting tools (e.g., Radar dashboards, SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench)
Familiarity using advanced reporting tools such as Power BI for data analysis
Demonstrated ability to support all phases of performance monitoring, including KPI development, data validation, design, and post-go live monitoring.
Proven experience in translating complex data into actionable insights for technical and executive-level stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
Leadership and project management skills, with a history of managing cross-functional initiatives and driving process improvements.
Experience designing advanced reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Experience developing Epic reports (Radar dashboard SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench) for Patient Access use cases
Advanced experience with telephony systems, quality metrics, and workforce management tools
Experience aligning performance optimization strategies with business priorities, emphasizing equitable outcomes and operational sustainability.
